The paving surface in places e.g. outside Reynolds store is VERY slippery during rainy periods

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 04:35, Sat 14 December 2019

Sent to West Sussex County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1885707.

Slippery pavements - seen three people fall on the ground in the last month.

Updates

  • The council has denied that there is a problem with the surface of the pavement stone. However, when it is wet the surface is treachorous and I have seen two elderly people in the last few months who have slipped there. That was what prompted me to write in the first place.

  • It's such a shame that we have to wait for people to fall over and hurt themselves before we do something. Most of Bognor is safe enough - just this treachorous spot that should be addressed. Kids running on this on wet days would get badly hurt.
