Dead trees overhanging property - large branch fell today

Reported in the Public Trees category anonymously at 16:21, Fri 6 December 2019

Sent to Bromley Council 4 minutes later

Please see attached for photos of the branch which fell from the trees into the the land owned by my neighbours and I today. This is the area where we park our cars and so regularly has people walking through it and up to 7 cars parked.

I’m sure you’ll agree after the incident today and due to the fact there are many other large dead branches which could fall any minute that these must now be cut right back so there is no overhanging branches to our property. It’s so lucky that when this branch fell today that it didn’t damage my car and that my neighbour was out. Additionally - has it hit someone, it could have easily killed them.

The branch was reported to CSC@Bromley.gov.uk today under reference CRM 1650629 and so has now been removed. This enquiry is to get the trees pruned to ensure the same doesn't happen again.

The system would only allow 3 photos to be uploaded - but more are available on requests.

  • Hello, My address is 39 Turners Meadow Way, Beckenham and the land owned by my neighbours and I (where the branch fell) is beside this address.

The tree is not on our land, however and would be accessed from Hayne Road, Beckenham.
