This is an unlit, busy, narrow, 2 lane road. The rut is where you would expect the road to be - it is very dangerous as it is such a dip in - destabilising the car - and then coming out of it, whilst breaking i swerved into the other side of the road.
There are reflective bollards which are leaning towards the ground, as they no longer have the roadside there to support them stranding. This therefore appears to be a longstanding issue.
The road is no longer 2 cars wide, but many people - from what i saw- still expect it to be and pass or overtake at speed and so are being put at risk, especially at night.
