Road continues to flood between Brick walls either side of A425

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 09:01, Fri 6 December 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later

At any time of the year it rains this section of road becomes severally flooded. Making it impassible. This is the main route between Southam & Daventry.

Please start to investigate solutions to resolve as it is becoming worse and more frequent. e.g. 1) dredging of ditches and streams that overflow 2) implement drainage or flush out drainage so it will function 3) Consider removing or bridging the dip where the excess standing water floods.

This is a busy road, and it wont be long before there is a serious motoring accident. As it is very hard so see in the dark, given its a hidden dip in both directions.

  • Flooded once again on 12th & 13th Dec 2019. Looks like significant deposits of mud have been dragged into the flooded area. no doubt this is blocking the 2 grated drains either side of the road.
