Yellow backing of a recently erected "School" sign is too bright

A recently erected school sign outside No.11 George Lane has an exceedingly bright and large yellow background. This can be seen from all 8 of our rear windows (No. 7) especially from a main bedroom and reception room. While we agree that safety of children is paramount, we would like the totally inappropriate bright yellow backing removed as we believe it contravenes guidlines for conservation areas. Also we would like to point out that the sign cannot be seen by drivers turning right towards the school from Hayes Wood Avenue.
Thank you for your report, this is now being investigated. Information on our services and the timeframes we aim to respond in can be found: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices

This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.
Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.
