Morning priority of traffic lights at A582 flyover bad

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 14:48, Wed 4 December 2019

Sent to Lancashire County Council 2 minutes later

Since the Penwortham bypass has been opened on the 2nd/3rd December 2019, the traffic flow forced onto the A582 to use the Preston flyover in a morning has become ridiculous. The addition of the Longton /Southport, Liverpool A59 traffic into the Leyland etc. traffic flow has added significant journey time to morning commuters into Preston. It appears that the traffic lights at the A582 / A59 flyover roundabout have not had their priority changed causing blockage all the way up the A582 towards Leyland due to the increased traffic, and yet the flyover itself remains largely ok.

If the traffic light priority was changed to allow more cars through in the morning then I think this would help.

At night time it seems to be working well in the opposite direction!
