For the last few weeks the autumnal leaf fall has been accumulating on the pavement near the Medical Practice (on the same side as the Practice) on Gilmerton Road, which causes problems for pedestrians and wheelchair users. This afternoon, the pavement has been partially cleared but the wet leaves have been piled IN the cycle lane, causing an obstruction. I saw the dark pile at the last second and had to swerve - fortunately no car was overtaking me at the time. The road surface is treacherous enough without additional obstructions. This needs to be cleared as soon as possible.
