Increased traffic flow encountering problems due to parked cars around bend on Station Road restricting views on blind bends

Sent to Leicestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1869128.
This above problem has resulted in vehicles (including buses and vans) using the footpath/pavement to negotiate past each other and often at a speed not conducive to the road conditions. A consequence of this is that there have been at least three collisions in the last eighteen months one of which necessitated the road being closed for approximately three hours. I am extremely concerned about the possibility of there being a very serious accident (potential fatality) occurring either involving a car occupant or an innocent pedestrian as a result of the cars mounting the pavement to pass each other. Recently at peak times there has been a significant level of congestion at either end of the row of parked cars. This is a relatively narrow village road and is not designed to take the width of three vehicles.+

Since submitting this a parked car has been hit whilst two vehicles passed each other neither giving way . Numerous near misses and increased usage of the footpath to negotiate past each other because vehicles are parked all the way round the bend. This is a danger to pedestrians and potential damage to property garden walls. Whilst cleaning the footpath outside our property a driver had the nerve to tell us to move so he could drive across the footpath as there were incoming vehicles and he didn't want to give way . I can see a serious accident occuring here involving vehicles or pedestrians.

There has been no update on my original post and I would appreciate if any actions that have been taken or are pending could be communicated. Failing this I would appreciate if contact details could be communicated on whose responsibility this problem lies as since the turn of the year the situation has significantly deteriorated and I fear that there is an accident just waiting to happen.
