Grass encroaching on public footpath reducing width and making it unsafe

Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 15:12, Sun 24 November 2019

Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council 3 minutes later

The tarmac footpath that runs from Weddington road to ventnor street has never been maintained for year which has resulted in the footpath being reduced in width from 6ft to a width of less than 4ft in some places. I’ve also reported to the council 4 times this year about grass cutting being left on tarmac footpath which has resulted in the rotting grass turnning to mud but council have as usual completely ignored this safety issue. The footpath also floods as there is no drainage. I think it’ll take an accident for this to be sorted.

  • A council representative contacted me the day after stating that they would send grounds maintenance staff out to fix it but nothing has been done as usual. Can’t wait to listen to what excuse they come up with.
