Blocked Drains to Northern Section Of High Street

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 13:43, Monday 18 November 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

Following the recent flooding of Henley-in-Arden High Street I went out the font of our property to swept up the leaves and when inspecting the road gulleys found they were completely blocked. Having dug out almost a wheelbarrow full from one drain alone without finding the bottom, it was apparent that they need cleaning out professionally using vacuum extraction. I’ve seen this has been done in the past but they don’t clear the gulleys where there are parked cars, which is to the majority High Street, and it is also very early in the morning when most people are still at home. This all leads to standing water on the roadway which in turn floods our properties.

  • I'm not sure if this has been addressed following the above enquiry but all of the leaves and drains have been cleaned which is great thank you.
