Confusing road markings

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:11, Sat 16 November 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 1849513.

As the A40 from Wheatley approaches the Greenroad roundabout the dual carriage way splits into more lanes for the roundabout. Drivers expect the left hand lane to split into two as it approaches the roundabout (as happens when you approach the other roundabouts in this area e.g approaching Littlemore roundabout from Heyford Hill). Instead it is the right hand lane which splits which means there are near misses almost everyday as drivers in the left hand lane cross the dotted lines into the lane the right hand lane has split in to. This is happening every day and is an accident waiting to happen. It needs to be consistent with all other roundabouts in the area despite there being road markings in place.
