Branches overhanging footpath
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:21, Mon 11 November 2019
Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1840858.
Branches from the rear garden of corner house (no 2?) Wellington Road overhanging footpath - well used by many residents of this estate. The footpath is on Marlborough Road. I reported this problem 2 months ago but no work done yet.

This is the third or fourth monthly email I have received asking if problem (branches from private garden overhanging footpath) has been sorted. I've reported it to both Stevenage Borough Council and Herts County - not very clear as to whose responsibility it is.

This problem has NOT been fixed. It's probably 4 months since it was first reported when leaves were still on the branches and well before the clocks were changed.

This problem was reported in September 2019 but now bare branches could cause eye damage if a pedestrian walked into them - they are strong thin and spindly. Giving up hope that anything will be done to sort my problem!!

Reported in September 2019. Now March 2020 and no work carried out - needs a good pair of shears and a ladder to cut it all back to top of wall height. Wonder what is the point of these monthly reminders if they are not read by any council employee who might sort it out.
