Flooded, Blocked Drains

Reported in the Drainage category by David Gethin at 11:55, Sunday 10 November 2019

Sent to Lichfield District Council 4 minutes later

This corner is always flooded whenever we have rain. It has been like this the last couple of years. I read this, a moment ago. “Absolutely furious! Was anyone at old spar ( now Co op) Springhill road traffic lights in Burntwood at 10:30am this morning? My friend and her 1 and half year old son waiting to cross and he was in his pushchair and the drain has over flown bad. 2 cars saw my friend and her son and carefully went around it and some idiot behind them decided to speed up and absolutely drench her 1 n half year old son and he’s soaking wet to the bone along with his favourite teddy he never lets leave his side! This little boy is poorly with a bad chest and has to be on an inhaler it’s 6c outside and he’s had to walk 30minuets outside to get home soaking wet! It’s absolutely terrified him and upset him massively! Cried all the way home cold and soaking! All his clothes and body is soaked it’s freezing outside it’s drowned the poor little lad. My friend didn’t get chance to get the number plate but noticed it was a black car! There is someone who has come forward and seen it happen but didn’t get the reg. We are getting cctv from traffic lights and asking co op if they have seen it. It’s absolutely disgusting some idiot would do this to a toddler. This person knew how bad this puddle was because people have gone around it Infront of them! Its not even funny whoever has done this and could make him seriously ill! It’s cruel and she is taking it further”
