Dangerous Road Surface
Reported in the Potholes category by Mr R Blundell at 16:51, Sat 7 May 2011
Sent to Cardiff Council 3 minutes later
Along the section of the A48 Eastern Avenue between the top of the hill at the bridges over the road (Bronwydd Avenue & Ty-Gwyn Road Bridges) to the 40MPH Speed sign near the UHW. The road surface is breaking up and in very poor condition with potholes, ruts and divots. At any reasonable speed along this section 40-60mph it throws the car around and is very bumpy and irregular. On some parts there has been some poor repair work done. The condition of the surface could easily cause a vehicle to be misdirected into the line of another vehicle travelling in the same direction and cause an accident. It must be a nightmare for any motorcyclist to negotiate this section of highway.
Having travelled again along Eastern Avenue A48(M) I realised that the part that is even worse is the carriage way section between the A4161/Circle Way West/A48(M) intersection and the hospital access next to the speed camera is very very poor along its length and really needs resurfacing. There will be a serious accident shortly if remedial action is not taken soon.

Well part of it has and part of it disappointingly has not. Why when such a good job has been done leave short parts undone still with potholes! Astounding!
The bit you have done is great the bit you have not rubbish!
