05/04/2008 - now around 5 caravans in situ. (The original 1 still there). Also, I have noticed the previous tree border between the car park and the roadside has been chopped down. I guess that was the cheaper option for the Council - try to make the car park as noisy and unattractive rather than serve proper eviction tactics. WHO KNOWS ? Anyway this once tranquil little wood is now unaccessable as there is no parking available.

Still lots of caravans but you can gain access to the woods by parking on Peregrine Road on Westhill Industrial estate off A944 in Elrick

I am pleased to read on the Council website.....The Council has agreed that it is more cost effective to provide waste collection and toilets than to cover costs of clean-up afterwards and it is also better for the environment. The Council also agreed that it the Good Neighbour Code is followed then in most cases Aberdeen City Council will not pursue an immediate eviction order for the eviction of Gypsy Travellers from any site within Aberdeen City.
Thanks for the access details too.
