Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The Highways Dept. say they are not responsible for Lighting lamps number 2&3 in the Hillmead Garage complex. They require investigating and if necessary repairing as it is currently being used by Druggies and a place to sell drugs. The police are aware of the problem with the two unlit lamps and insist that are returned to full working mode ASAP.

  • This is now the 4th Time I have been asked if the problem has been fixed. Nothing is done to resolve the problem. Garage renters and owners still have to attend the area at night, not good for any person.

  • It is called pass the Buck. Fix my street passes the report problem onto the Highways Dept. They tell me it is the local councils problem because it is on private property and that is the way it has been for the last 2 years. Soon winter will be gone and who ever is responsible will not need to anything for a further year. All the right words are spoken when I ring the Garage maintenance dept. Am I wasting my time?.
