Good afternoon, Our contractor is waiting for the tree surgeon to trim the roots of the tree before he can reinstate the footway. Thank you for your patience.

Our contractor has been notified to take the appropriate action.

The reported issue requires the footway to be excavated to allow for tree root trimming before being reinstated, these works will now be co-ordinated between our Highways and Tree Teams.

Good afternoon, I have received a report from our contractor that the footway should be reinstated by the end of this week weather permitting now that the tree surgeon has completed his work. Thank you for your patience.

It is now the 16th November and there is still no sign of any work happening on this stretch of pavement. Fallen leaves have created a bog along the road where pedestrians have been rerouted. This is the main route to Alex Infants and Kent House Schools for many children and the out of action pavement is causing lots of problems for walkers, scooters and buggies. It’s been over a month now. Please fix this. Thank you.

Good afternoon, Please accept my apologies over the delay. Our contractor could not complete their work as the tree surgeon has left root in the kerb area. We are chasing up completion of this work as a priority. Thank you for your patience.

This has STILL not been sorted. This is dangerous. Why on earth would you start a job if you don't know when the tree surgeon is booked in. There must be a better solution than the one currently in place while works 'take place'. My son fell off his bike on the way to school on the way back onto the pavement. It is not safe. Sort it out Bromley!

Completely agree with the above, regarding being dangerous! People are forced to walk out into the road. As someone stated, there are two schools at the end of this road, therefore many parents and children walk down it each day. The 'fence' bordering it off, is unsuitable, and falls in the wind. Many children ride their bikes and scooters to school, and it is unsafe for them. People with double buggies are having to go into the road. The bog created by leaves along where we are routed is slippy. Needs urgent attention.
