Overflowing wheelie bins permanently left on pavement

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 09:10, Mon 28 October 2019

Sent to Croydon Borough Council 5 minutes later

For several months multiple wheelie bins have been stored permanently on the pavement outside nos. 48 and 50 Harold Road. In addition, excess rubbish in bin bags is placed on and around the bins. This is unhygienic and unsightly, and obstructs the pavement causing access issues. On windy days the rubbish is spread over a wide area. Sometimes, scavenging animals like urban foxes rip open the bags, which creates a terrible mess.

Updates

  • Some bins have been removed but 4 large wheelie bins remain outside no. 52, obstructing the pavement and acting as a magnet for flytipping and casual littering.
