The manhole cover in the road seems to have collapsed

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Havant Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1821607.

The manhole cover on the road has collapsed and every car that drives up or down the road goes over it causing more damage and lots of noise. Because of parked cars on the right of the road all cars going up and down the road go over this manhole cover.

  • I saw the van turn up and the man got out jumped up and down on the drain a couple of times took pictures and watched cars come around the corner to see if they caused the problem, unfortunately he had parked in such a way that all cars going in both directions didn’t drive a natural line around the corner so completely missed the drain. It is still broken and now his van is no longer there every car goes over the drain causing the terrible noisy!

  • Is this drain ever going to be fixed? I cannot have any windows open on that side of the house because of the constant noise as vehicles drive over the drain. The person who turns up to check it needs to park away from the drain because he is altering the path vehicles take on the drain, jumping up and down on a drain does not create the same noise as a vehicle. Maybe I should take it on myself to break the drain completely then you will come out to fix it?
