The land where the mattresses have been dumped belongs to/is used regularly by Network Rail. Also this western side of the railway line is the jurisdiction of Southwark council.

So are you saying Fix my Street isn't the correct place to report this?

No! Just making sure all the correct authorities are aware: no point reporting it to Lewisham when it's Southwark and Network Rail which need to be aware.
The latest news today is that Network Rail have promised to remove the mattresses within the next 4 weeks.

Not linked until now. Thank you. This looks like the same mattresses. Certainly in the same place. The arrow on the map has been put in the wrong place in this case... Https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/1817340

Any update on this? I have been back and forth with Network Rail (say it's Southeastern's responsibility), Southeastern (say it's down to Network Rail or London Overground), and Lewisham (say it's Network Rail and have emailed them). So who knows?? It's a disgrace. I've asked the staff at HOP station - they weren't aware it was there!! Perhaps I'm cynical, but is this an attempt to usher in more housing - as a 'cure' to a fly-tipping eye-sore??? Network Rail clearly know it's there - I keep seeing their vans there, so why don't they clear the mess? And how are vans getting in there to unload mattresses in the first place - someone must be allowing them in?.......

Latest is that Network Rail have said they'll sort it out within 4 weeks. They have closed the case. From what you say I'm not holding my breath. We are monitoring it. Have you seen the photos on the other fixmystreet report? This was posted separately with the arrow on the wrong spot.

Yes! Just watched grabber lorry and large skip being filled. Good news. Must ensure it doesn't happen again.

These mattresses were finally removed last year. BUT subsequently more fly-tipping occurred - see the other report on this site.
