Reported in the Street lighting category by Tony Burton at 17:17, Thu 28 April 2011

Sent to Merton Borough Council 2 minutes later

A new street light has been installed which is much higher than all the others in the street and will also shine into bedroom windows. Can it be replaced by one which matches all the others in the road.

  • The council installed a new lamp post next to an existing one - but it was much taller, out of scale with everything else and shone into bedroom windows. Shortly after reporting the problem through FixMyStreet the original lamp post was removed - precisely the reverse of what was requested. The problem remains
