I’m a wheelchair user and have an Assistance Dog. In Aspen Gardens, off Oak Tree Drive, there is a bowing hedges that prevents me from reaching the dropped curb safely. My dog has to go on the road and I can’t see around the bush to check if it’s clear, I’m forced to put myself and my dog in danger, this is not acceptable.
I’ve spoken to the lady who owns the house and she quite strongly told me she was not going to remove the hedge. I had a long talk with her and went through my issue, she was very sympathetic - she’s a lovely lady.
There seems to be 2 options. Either relocate the dropped curb or cut the hedge back yourselves. It’s bowing out so bad that it won’t be long before I’m unable to go round the path in my wheelchair!
