Vibrating house since Thames water works

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 22:08, Thursday 17 October 2019

Sent to Lambeth Borough Council 2 minutes later

Since Thames Water have carried out their works to dig up the road, my whole property shakes whenever a bus drives past waking me up in the middle of the night.

This has happened in the past week and there is also a manhole that is loose

  • The vibration started with just heavy vehicles but unfortunately now it is constant and all vehicles cause a rumbling probably as Thames water have dug up the other side of the road even more.

Thames water have said they accept no liability and have passed the issue onto the council although it is their work that is clearly causing the damage to the road.

The manhole is sill loose, someone fixed it for a day but it's back to how it was and extremely noisy.

Next steps are for the neighbours affected to come together to create a joint complaint to see if Thames Water will then listen.
