Road works causing danger to life

Reported in the Road works problem category anonymously at 08:39, Thursday 17 October 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

Road works have been approved and co-ordinated such that at peak times 8-10am Mon-Fri traffic is queued from the road works at Warwick School along the entire length of Myton Road and back to the roundabout at the junction of Myton Road and Princes Drive. I have seen one small collision and multiple this week coming out of Leamington this week alone. Obviously when the council have approved building schemes locally this had been done with road infrastructure that in no way supports the increased traffic volume and will be an ongoing increasing problem. However, the current roadworks are making it dangerous to drive around the above roundabout at present. I can now only assume the council will cease roadworks or immediately implement a solution. Or alternatively accept that having been made aware of potential danger to road users the council accepts responsibility for any injuries to the public
