Roadwork barriers obstructing road

As great as it is that some effort has been made towards fixing the enormous pothole on Swanfield Drive, there has been a set of barriers around the unfixed pothole for a good couple of weeks now and no progress appears to have been made. In the meantime the barriers are blocking half the road and is causing an unnecessary hazard. On more than one occasion I have nearly been knocked off my bike by impatient drivers swerving round the barriers and not giving adequate room/right of way to other road users. Coupled with the additional traffic this road is currently seeing thanks to the ongoing roadworks on Spitalfield Lane, as well as the busses which use this route, the barriers have made a particularly tricky stretch of the road even more dangerous. Either get on and fix the pothole or take the barriers down so motorists aren't forced to swerve into the oncoming lane to avoid them.
