Mud & debris on Curbridge Road, Witney

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 16:46, Wed 16 October 2019

Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council 3 minutes later

On and around the pedestrian island, crossing the Curbridge Road adjacent to Coral Springs Way, mud & debris has been collecting. Its is slippery underfoot when wet, making it a Health & Safety issue for pedestrians when using the island. The drop kerb is also collecting mud, and the road markings either side are obscured by mud. I have reported the matter some time ago, but it has not been resolved.

  • This has still not be cleaned, mud & debris is still there. Its quite slippery under foot, bearing in mind the crossing is used by people from the retirement home.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Please can you try to find the cause for all this mud. It needs cleaning up urgently.

  • I've posted several times on this matter. Highways says its not there responsibility, but that of the developers. I've spoken to the developers, who say its not their responsibility, they are not allowed to sweep the main roads.

From the pictures I previously posted here's two taken some time apart, with the same tree branch, proving the road has not been swept.
