Damaged and muddy grass verges

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 17:03, Mon 7 October 2019

Sent to Hull City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1796109.

Due to the increase in wet weather and residents parking on the grass verge at Shipton, these verges have become extremely damaged and muddy. It is a hazard to people using the footpath due to mud being spread about and making the path slippery. It's also unsightly.

The problem has been present for a while, however the increased muddiness is a much bigger problem in wet weather. This will only get worse through the autumn and winter seasons.

Updates

  • This problem is only getting worse.

  • This problem is still getting worse; also the person in the blue car is now displaying a blue badge in the windscreen of the car as "justification" for parking here - surely this is a highly unsuitable place for a disabled person to park considering that this grass verge is now so slippery and muddy.

  • Also, the neon orange paint markings that were put down by council officials at either end of this verge have now been COMPLETELY erased by people pulling up and parking on this verge.

  • People still parking on here, verges still a mess.
