Several large potholes on the left side of the road, approaching bridge on way towards Lancing station making cycling along here dangerous

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 15:31, Tue 1 October 2019

Sent to West Sussex County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1788254.

The potholes along Freshbrook Road have been here for months but are worsening due to recent heavy rain fall. Cycling on this road towards the station is now dangerous because to avoid going into the holes it is necessary to swerve towards the middle of the road - on a narrow road with oncoming traffic this is not safe. With the heavy volume of traffic (school runs, delivery vans and car drivers going too fast) along Freshbrook Road this stretch of tarmac experiences a great degree of stress so needs more regular maintenance than it currently has - I have not seen any one fix or maintain this road at all this year! Please fix these potholes and also consider a lower speed limit along Freshbrook Road or some street calming measures to reduce the pressure on the road and make it safer for residents in future.
