5 inch deep pothole

My daughter drove down Alder Lane late on Thursday night 26th September 2019 when her car hit the pothole. The pothole instantly damaged her car breaking the wishbone and disconnecting the anti roll bar as the bolt was severed. One front wheel was facing one way and the other wheel in the opposite direction. The nearside wheel was moving freely about causing the tyre to rub against the inside of the wheel arch.

Had my daughter been travelling at the speed limit I fear she could have been killed or seriously injured along with her passengers. Luckily she was travelling at a slower speed.

The residents at Morphets Farm, Alder Lane allowed my daughter to leave her car on their property until we could get it removed.

Mr and Mrs Morphet said the lane was terrible for potholes.
