To ensure that the correct vehicle is investigated and allow us to undertake the appropriate checks please provide details of the vehicle's registration and make. Members of the public can check a vehicle’s tax status themselves at https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax Please note that the DVLA typically allow a keeper a grace period of a month in which to renew their tax. Please refrain from reporting untaxed vehicles until this grace period has expired as no enforcement action can be taken during it. Bromley has the powers to deal with abandoned or untaxed vehicles only. Vehicles without insurance or a MOT should be directed to the Police as we do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.
