Traffic lights from A28 on to A2 entry slip not working properly

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 15:21, Thursday 26 September 2019

Sent to Kent County Council 4 minutes later

The traffic lights at this junction have never worked particularly well in that, if you don't have previous experience, your car must pull up to the (almost invisible) white line before the sensor would recognize that you were waiting to get on to the A2 and change the lights from red to green. Even being a couple of feet away from the line meant it would not realise there was a car waiting. Now, the problem is that the sensor/trigger for the traffic lights is not working at all so all traffic, of which there is a considerable amount, has to wait literally minutes before presumably a timed change occurs and they are able to get on the the A2 slip road. This is infuriating and I have sat there several times in a queue of traffic waiting whilst there is no traffic coming eastbound into Canterbury on the A28. Please investigate asap!
