Large expanse of water again next to pedestrian crossings at bottom of Leicester Road bridge heading into Nuneaton

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 07:45, Wed 25 September 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

This standing water has been reported before I believe, but looks like the fault was not fixed properly or just ignored? Cars are having to drive through the flood with the risk of drenching pedestrians ( which is illegal) but not there fault as they have no choice or they swerve out the way and run the risk of causing an traffic accident. Not sure if there is a blocked drain which is most likely as most of Nuneaton drains require some basic maintenance or it’s a poor highway design and there is no drain but which ever it is itrequired immediatel attention.

  • Not sure until it rains again but we’ll soon find out if it’s a poor road design ( no drain ) or if the drain is blocked
