Cars jumping traffic lights because of poor visibility

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 21:41, Tuesday 24 September 2019

Sent to TfL 4 minutes later

Hello, I commute by bike down Kennington Road and turn left onto Camberwell New Road using the Brixton Road spur. There are two sets of traffic lights with different phasing, so that traffic turning left from the Brixton Road spur has to wait for 6-7 seconds at the pedestrian crossing on Camberwell New Road. I have seen several cars miss the second light, probably because the awkward angle makes it difficult to see, and run the red light through the pedestrian crossing, creating a serious hazard for pedestrians.

Please consider changing the phasing so they are coordinated, or splitting the lights into 'turn left' and 'go straight' so motorists can see what they're supposed to do.
