Sent to Wycombe District Council 4 minutes later

John Hall Way The A4010. has been closed this morning between Cressex Link and Crest Road mini roundabout due to severe flooding mainly due to the fact that the grills were blocked with grass and fallen leaves. I would suggest that a pre planned maintainence scheme be set up because I myself cleared the debris from the grills, releasing the water into the gullies. This is a major arterial road and should be maintained correctly. While I was there it was noted that a blue BMW was stuck in the 'lake' obviously due to water getting into the electrics in the engine. It was very deep in the middle and must have been 400cm deep! This would have come over the top of my wellington boots. Can I suggest therefore that a regular inspection should take place of these grills and also that the gullies are vacumed out, clearing any silt etc deposited in the bottom, preventing debris going into the soakaway.
