There is graffiti that occurred in November 2018 that has not been repaired

Reported in the Graffiti category anonymously at 20:12, Mon 16 September 2019

Sent to West Devon Borough Council 2 minutes later

This damage and that of other road signs has gone un repaired for 10 months. This occurred in November 2018 and was reported at the time along with 2 vans that had similar graffiti on them. The 30mph sign heading down from the Army Camp has been damaged for even longer and there is other graffiti on other signs in station road. When I was Police Inspector we used the principle of 'broken windows' theory to get damage repaired quickly to avoid further damage occuring

  • West Devon Council merely signposted me to Devon Council asking me to re refer the matter to them. This was done but the damage remains. This is now almost 12 months since the damage occurred and was reported and given that the signs are immediately adjacent to the Railway Station this is not a great advert for the new proposed rail link

  • Devon County Council are currently refusing to remove the graffiti as it is not s safety matter. Ridiculous!
