Lots of Litter Dumped on Pavement

Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 16:14, Sunday 15 September 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The very end of Clock House Road is now regularly being used as a dumping ground for litter, and it's getting worse. Can you please remove the litter that appeared this weekend (see photos), for example?

We had a can of petrol dumped in our wheelie bin shortly after our weekly refuse collection happened a few days ago, and litter now regularly appears on our front garden (we have high fences surrounding it so I believe it is being thrown into our garden).

Like I say, I'm reporting this more because I want you to consider a long-term solution to the problem. There is both a pub and bar just around the corner which might be the root cause of the problem. I hope that you will consider installing a new bin on the corner of Clock House Road and Croydon Road, for example?

  • Litter bins are not installed on residential streets such as Clock House Road unless there is a bus stop, shops or proximity to an open space.

With this in mind the street litter bin at bus stop J on Croydon Road will be increased in size and a new bin will be installed at bus stop S on Upper Elmers End Road. These changes will help cater for litter generated around Elmers End Green.
