This is a large pothole edging on to the railway line on the railway crossing in Swanton Road, Dereham. Approximate post code NR19 2HH. It's on the side of the Swanton Road heading out of Dereham towards Swanton Morley. This part of the road over the crossing is very narrow and on a partially blind bend. Vehicles coming from Swanton Morley towards Dereham take up both sides of the road forcing drivers over to the edge of the road and straight into this deep pothole. It's broken my suspension on the near side of my car, costing me £271.67 to have it fixed at the garage today. I'm not sure how long it's been there. I was forced in to it last week and there was a loud bang from under my car. I pulled over into the track to Nethered Moor expecting to see my tyre shredded but it wasn't, but when I drove off, I could hear a banging noise coming from under the front near side of my car. Over the next days I realised my steering didn't feel right, like my car had a roll on it .I took it to the garage and they kindly fitted my car in today, Friday and the damage is:-Nearside front shock absorber. Nearside top mounting. Nearside front roll bar. This horrendous pothole has cost me £271.67 today! I don't fancy standing in this road to photograph the pot hole because I've torn my achillies tendon and I'm too disabled to get out of the way of oncoming vehicles coming from either side of this level crossing .I'm sure the council could kindly go and inspect it.
