Please note we are also concerned that the roots of this tree might cause damage to the property (especially the basement) as they are so close.

The reported issue requires the footway to be excavated to allow for tree root trimming before being reinstated, these works will now be co-ordinated between our Highways and Tree Teams.

Hello, now that the tree roots have been exposed one can clearly see the damage that they are already causing to our property. Some bricks on the front wall have been broken and a lot of the paving in the front garden has been pushed up. To prevent any further damage to our property, it seems only fair that the tree and its roots are removed, maybe replaced by a smaller tree. Please advise if this is the intended way forward. Thanks.
