Lights never turn off on six hills way
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:47, Thu 29 August 2019
Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1748280.
On Six hills way, as you approach the roundabout for the A602. The foot path that heads to the round about has street lights on all the time, I first noticed this over 6 months and they have never turned off, even when we had all that hot weather. These are not the new LED lights but the orange large halogen lights that light up the path. Lamp post numbers are 84, 87 and there is one more but it has no number. They light up the path that leads into town and between six hill way and Penn road. the last 3 lamp posts on six hill way heading to the round about. this will cost the council a lot of money keeping these on during the day.

Walked past yesterday and lights still on. I was informed it requires specialist equipment to change the lights and wires and will be fixed within 12 months due to it being low priority.

I was told this could take up to 12 months. 3 weeks later I was told it was fixed, but when I walked past the lights at mid day they were on still. So this has not been fixed.

Even though I received an email saying it was fixed. It is not and I see the lights on everyday I walk past them.

This is not fixed as of 6th Jan and I will keep opening a new ticket each time you say it's fixed when it is not. You might say it's because it's grey outside so the light sensor turns them on but they are on all the time.
