Broken barriers on Byfleet Road

Reported in the Parks and landscapes category anonymously at 15:54, Tue 27 August 2019

Sent to Runnymede Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1746075.

The wooden barriers on the curved section of Byfleet Road at New Haw Lock, are falling to pieces.

The wood is rotten and many of the segments have failed. This make the area look unkempt and neglected which is encouraging flytipping and antisocial behaviour.

Could you, at least, remove the broken sections please? I understand that you might not have the budget to repair or replace these barriers, but leaving the broken sections in place is not helping to make the area pleasant.

Updates

  • Some of the broken segments have been removed but there are still at least 3 more broken ones.
