Overgrown Trees Obscuring Streetlights
Reported in the Street Lighting category anonymously at 17:20, Mon 19 August 2019
Sent to Barnet Borough Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1737447.
Reported this issue months ago and it has gone unchecked despite making it very clear that this is becoming an issue for the many many children using Frith Manor Primary School. The trees on Lulington Garth, stretching almost the entire length of road on both sides of the street outside Frith Manor Primary School have become so over grown the streetlights have become redundant now. Not only will this cause significant issues in the coming months when the clocks change and children and walking to and from school, but the council has spent significant time recently blocking off parts of the road to re-paint the parking boxes (unnecessary in my opinion) THIS is a major issue and causing severe health and safety problems for the children at the school. There is no school until September, please PLEASE cut down the trees or trim them down! The most severe case is on the zebra crossing where the school side of the crossing is in almost complete darkness due to THREE overgrown tree. Please sort this asap for the sake of the children!

Over a year and still nothing done. Third or forth time this has been mentioned and no sign of anything changing...it's not as if it is impacted on the health and safety of primary school children or anything

Disgraceful that nothing has been done about this outside of a school. It is now getting darker earlier and children are at risk!
