Diseased and overhanging oak tree

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 09:27, Sunday 11 August 2019

Sent to Fareham Borough Council 3 minutes later

This tree is constantly dropping small branches , it has grown too big for the location it is in, with the width now stretching across the pavement and across the front of my house. It is now blocking light in my kitchen, I have to put lights on most of the time, and it is creating blocked gutters on our houses. The worst problem is the acorns drop early for months, they are diseased and misshapen , the squirrels don’t touch them therefore they remain on the ground causing a hazard. They are dangerous on the pavement as they roll under foot. They are a constant problem in my garden, they cover the front path, and jam under the gate. This tree is really impacting on my property and the surrounding properties and pavements. I had a couple of branches fall into my front garden, crushing my plants during the storm this week. My front garden is always covered in droppings from the tree, including bird droppings all over the garden, fence and gate. . It is becoming a constant battle to clear up around the tree.
