Kerb cleaning required
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 20:49, Sat 12 March 2011
Sent to Arun District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 172750.
As a thoroughfare for walkers to the train station there is a build up of litter and debris in the gutters all along both sides of Devonshire Road. Some residents do try to keep their own areas litter & debris free, and when the street is cleaned properly I will remind them to continue to do so. We have had de-weeders before which was great thanks, but a good road sweep is really needed :o)

NO ... although it does look like they have made an effort because on two occasions that I have seen (there could be more) they have sent a road sweeper lorry down the road. Due to the man not getting out of his cab, & the parked cars this was a fruitless waste of time, as the rubbish on both occasions was completely missed. Perhaps they could have fixed it first time round by sending the right resource with the right equipment, which in this case was a hand pushed cart. I have attached 3 photo's in the hope it might get the required action. 15 weeks end to end time from reporting to fixing is poor & costly.

You couldn't make it up :o)
Pictures, emails, 25 weeks... & no satisfaction at a very high cost.
