Tree overhanging footpath.

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 19:44, Fri 2 August 2019

Sent to Aylesbury Vale District Council 1 minute later

The trees in this footpath between Mare Leys and Downer Close have recently had some trimming back to remove excess branches. However there is one at the start of the alleyway which is jutting out into the footpath, giving a danger of collision for taller people. This is particularly a risk at night as it's not easy to see in the unlit part of the alleyway. View in pic is from Downer Close looking towards Mare Leys.

  • Nothing seems to have happened, first question perhaps is whether the council own this tree or the householder, although it's outside their fence.

  • Unfortunately it appears nothing has changed with this tree, if anything it's leaning further over. I wonder if there's any question on who owns it, as the householder in the adjoining property has had a new fence and I think some trees were trimmed when that was done. However, still needs sorting out before anyone walks into it in the dark.

  • Nothing has changed but don't know if the ownership of the trees has been established or not.
