A silver Renault Clio has been left in Maine Crescent Rayleigh for about 2 weeks. It has 2 flat tyres & the number plates have been taken off & left in the drivers seat & floor well of the passenger seat.
Good afternoon, I tried to call you today to explain legislation and the strict guideline set by DVLA, but unfortunately got your voicemail. To investigate possible abandoned vehicles there must be sufficient evidence of abandonment, for example, untaxed, significantly damage, burnt out, vehicle containing waste. Unfortunately not knowing the registration number proves difficult to investigation, as we can not check if it is untaxed or get the owner's details. You state it has flat tyres, which is one sign of abandonment, but it has not been stationary for a long period of time (2 months). Therefore at present there is not sufficient evidence of abandonment. Please contact us again if the vehicle is still there in 4-6 weeks time, or if there are other signs of abandonment (per the list above).
