6 sunken small manholes and tarmac ridged. A435 at junction with Kings Coughton Lane

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:04, Monday 29 July 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

Small gas covers have sunken and one has cover missing with step change in level. Tarmac is marked with skidding lorry tyres from bouncing in potholes and is ridged/sunken. This is causing thumping noises disturbing local residents with around 21,000 vehicles using the road daily. The road surface is potentially dangerous for small wheeled vehicles or pedestrians. The problem has existed for many months but is getting worse.

  • I now see this problem was reported previously as long ago as March 2018. The council claim they have notified the gas company as they are responsible to repair but the problem now extends beyond the manholes as the road is distorted over a significant area.

  • No change. Council have advised that they will not take action unless there are injury accidents. The have no intent to consider the disturbance to local residents.

  • About 3 weeks ago one of the 6 access lids was marked in yellow. All markings have now been warn off. Why only one was marked when the whole area around the 6 holes needs attention I cannot speculate.

So on summary, no change and no repairs undertaken.
