Double yellow lines too short to be safe

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:59, Fri 26 July 2019

Sent to Lambeth Borough Council less than a minute later

I have seen 2 crashes recently caused by the dangerously short double yellow lines on the intersections of side roads onto Canterbury Grove , specifically from Uffington rd turning right into Canterbury Grove. Many motorists speed , and it is impossible to see round the corner when vehicles are parked at the edge of the line. Added to which , it is a bus route so incredibly dangerous to have these blind spots.

Updates

  • Quite shocking that the council take no notice of this easily fixable problem . Just needs some yellow paint .

  • I am delighted to say that Lambeth council have finally fixed the short yellow lines problem on my road. Hurrah ! I have been banging on for many years about this and seen many accidents. It's taken a pandemic to fix this , and becoming a street champion seems to have helped also !

    State changed to: Fixed
