Road grit all over the pavement.
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 08:56, Thu 25 July 2019
Sent to Breckland District Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1707918.
Since this road (Low St) was cheaply gritted, around 2017, the residents have been plagued with loose grit all over our pavement. It's depressing. The council know about this problem but can't be bothered (apparently) to clear it all up.

The people to pursue is of course Norfolk County Council Highways, who are notorious for NOT responding to issues. We need to pursue the leader/s of Norfolk County Council. alan@aloz.org.uk

Not long after I moaned (again) about this, a road sweeper turned up and swept the road. That would have made perfect sense if a 'pavement' sweeper had subsequently arrived, to deal with the grit all over the pavement, which really was the purpose of my complaint! Sadly and quite obviously from the state of the pavement, a second sweeper was never sent. Pathetic.

As before. Very disappointing.

Ditto. We obviously have no influence over the authorities at all. I'm hoping and praying for a street visit by Prince Charles. That would get everything fixed pronto!

You need to pursue proctor, Andrew - Leader of the Council <andrew.proctor.cllr@norfolk.gov.uk> And pursue him again and again. Just remember that joined up thinking is NOT their strong point. We have similar issues in Griston Rd Watton. Sweeper comes along as directed but misses the worst of the dirt.

Apart from it being easy to ignore residents (especially when council elections are not on) I assume they just can't be bothered, because we are six miles from Dereham. They probably think, "so what? we have your Council Tax money in our pockets already".
