Sticky gunk all over pavements
Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 08:55, Sunday 21 July 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later. Council ref: 1703452.
The road was partially resurface on 17th July 2019. But unfortunately the sticky gunk used for resurfacing was also spread on to the cobbled pavements, leaving a disgusting sticky mess which adheres to the shoes of pedestrians and gets carried on their feet. Splatters of the gunk have also ended up on the surrounding buildings, most notably contaminating door handles. Hard to believe that such work could be conducted without protecting the pavement and surrounding areas - restorative work to clean up the mess is now needed.
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.
