Potholes and pedestrian access on John Goshawk Road.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:35, Friday 19 July 2019

Sent to Norfolk County Council 6 minutes later

There are so many deep and dangerous potholes there is no way for vehicles to drive along this road to avoid them. As a consequence, vehicles are driving down the pavements which is a serious hazard for pedestrians. The road is blocked by buses in the mornings on one side, making the already narrow pavement too narrow to walk down, but pedestrians are unable to walk down the footpath on the other side due to barriers and bollards placed there, forcing pedestrians to walk on the road. Due to the significant potholes in the road this is dangerous for able bodied people and completely inaccessible for someone with a physical disability or in a wheelchair. This conflict of vehicles vs pedestrians is an accident waiting to happen!

  • I completely agree, this has become a nightmare and an accident waiting to happen

  • A member if the pubic has very kindly taken their own time to fill some of the larger holes with hardcore. This has reduced the severity of these holes to some degree and is very much appreciated by all who are forced to use this road regularly. However this is by no means a repair or solution; whoever owns this road must still fulfill their responsibilities.
